GARY MITCHELL

Airfield Paving Technologies Consultant, American Concrete Paving Association

Gary manages technical and market development programs related to pavements used in commercial, military, secondary and general aviation airfield facilities. He serves as the primary industry liaison to the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as the association’s primary technical contact for design, construction, materials, and rehabilitation topics related to airfield facilities. Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in Structural and Construction Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

NICHOLAS (NICK) HAYNES

Vice President and General Partner, Crisp Contractors

Nick manages operations including site development, demolition, and storm water pollution plans, new paving and pavement reconstruction in both concrete and asphalt, and all phases of intermodal facility planning and construction. He has successfully contracted and managed numerous projects for the FedEx hub air facility at the Memphis International Airport.During his 34-year career, he worked for one of the largest publicly held Mid-South construction companies. Nick served 14 years as the President, developing and managing the growth of sand and gravel businesses, asphalt & concrete paving operations, roadway and airport construction projects, a riverside limestone quarry, and a marine services company. Nick holds a degree from Herff School of Engineering, Memphis University.

GENE DRAKE, P.E.

Gene has 18 years of precast production experience and over 30 years of manufacturing and engineering experience. He previously was Vice President and Regional Manager over Georgia and Alabama for Oldcastle Precast before launching Performance Precast Corporation.

GARY KNIGHT, P.E.

Technical Services & Quality Control Manager Lehigh South, Heidelberg Cement

A Fellow of American Concrete Institute (ACI) and recognized world-wide for continuing contributions to science of concrete formulations relating to performance of Portland cement.  He is a Past Chair and member of ACI Committee 211, Proportioning Concrete Mixtures.  BSCE Civil Engineering graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts University.

DROR SELIVANSKY, PhD

Chief Technical Officer, NexGen Fibers

Dr. Selivansky is the current President of Fi-Crete Technologies Haifa Israel. Previously, Manager Research and Development, NILIT Ltd, Israel. Patent holder and creator of Acrilan II; holds two US patents for superior nylon yarns. Holds PhD in synthetic textiles NC State.
